Know your hair.
Choose the right products.
Hair type guides, ingredient glossaries, bond science explanations, and a routine builder — everything you need to understand your hair and build a routine that actually works for it.
Every texture.
One guide.
The hair typing system (1A–4C) describes curl pattern, not hair health. Understanding your type helps you choose the right products — but every type can be improved with the right bond-building routine.
Straight hair.
Smooth, resilient,
oil-prone.
Straight hair is the most resilient hair type — the cuticle lies flat naturally, making it less prone to frizz and easier to detangle. The challenge: natural oils travel quickly down the straight shaft, making roots greasy while ends stay dry. Bond damage shows up as fine flyaways, reduced shine, and heat-damaged brittleness.
Wavy hair.
Movement, frizz-prone,
versatile.
Wavy hair has a natural S-shaped pattern that sits between straight and curly. When bond-healthy, waves are defined, glossy, and hold their shape. When damaged, wavy hair goes frizzy, puffy, and loses definition quickly. The goal is restoring moisture balance to maintain wave pattern without weighing it down.
Curly hair.
Defined, moisture-hungry,
spring-back.
Curly hair naturally forms corkscrew or ringlet patterns. The tighter the curl, the harder it is for natural oils to travel down the strand — which is why curly hair tends toward dryness. Bond health is critical: when bonds are intact, curls spring back beautifully; when damaged, they go limp, frizzy, and undefined.
Coily hair.
The tightest curl.
The most underserved.
Type 4 hair has the tightest curl pattern and the highest moisture need of any type. It's also the type that the mainstream haircare industry — including the bond treatment category — has most consistently designed products without. NUELE was founded specifically because of this gap. Every product is formulated and tested for Type 4 hair.
Ingredient

Every ingredient in every NUELE product, explained plainly. We believe you deserve to know exactly what's in your haircare and why it's there.
Rich emollient extracted from the nut of the shea tree. Penetrates deep into the hair cortex, restoring moisture and structural flexibility. Sourced from female-led cooperative in northern Ghana.
MoistureSoftnessBond repairCold-pressed from the kernel of the argan tree. Rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acids that penetrate the hair cortex to rebuild disulfide bonds and restore structural integrity and shine.
Disulfide bondsShineProtectionHigh in ricinoleic acid — a unique fatty acid that penetrates the scalp to increase circulation, strengthen the hair shaft from the root, and support healthy growth over time.
GrowthScalp healthStrengthOne of nature's most effective hair and scalp treatments. Soothes irritation, supports the hair's natural pH, deeply hydrates, and helps seal the cuticle for reduced porosity and frizz.
Scalp calmpH balanceHydrationTechnically a wax that closely mirrors the hair's natural sebum. Deeply moisturising, balances scalp oil production, prevents moisture loss, and adds a subtle, lasting shine without heaviness.
Moisture balanceShineA potent antioxidant that shields the hair's bonds from free radical damage caused by UV exposure, heat styling, pollution, and oxidative stress. Essential for maintaining bond integrity over time.

Frizz, roughness,
lost smoothness
Humidity, heat, and alkaline products all weaken hydrogen bonds. Your hair feels rough to the touch, frizzes in humidity, and won't hold a style. The cuticle is raised and porous.
Breakage, split ends,
structural weakness
The most severe bond damage — caused by heat tools, bleach, relaxers, and chemical colour. Hair breaks easily, splits frequently, and feels structurally compromised. Rebuild with intensive weekly treatment.
Dullness, colour fade,
lost moisture
Ionic bonds control moisture retention and colour vibrancy. When weakened, hair looks dull, colour fades faster, and hydration doesn't seem to last. The Hair Serum addresses this daily.
Dryness, irritation,
slow growth
Healthy hair starts at a healthy scalp. Dryness, irritation, and buildup at the scalp slow growth, cause flaking, and weaken the hair at its root. Address this overnight while you sleep.
