There’s a lot of information out there on exactly what essential oils are and what they can do for your body, your hair and your mind. It’s tough to know where to look – and to know how much to read when there’s so much.
As a company that uses essential oils in their concentrated state within our product, we’ve been there – we’ve read it all, and so we’re here to help you with a breakdown of the ones we use and why.
So, what even is an essential oil? In summary, they’re the compounded extract of a plant or fruit – basically, it’s all the good stuff. You can get the fragrance and benefits of eating them in a super powerful few drops.
We use an alchemy of five oils to create our mega-nourishing, health-first hair superfood – here’s a rundown of what they are.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is an oil of all trades – moisturizing the hair, preventing hair loss, reducing scalp inflammation, rejuvenating hair, eliminating dandruff and regulating sebum. It’s a one-stop-shop, and a powerful one at that.
The moisturizing, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of jojoba oil mean that it offers a protective layer and defends it from dirt, grime and other gunk in the environment, keeping your hair light, full of moisture and glowing with a healthy shine.
Moringa Oil
Moringa Oil is chock-full of vitamins and minerals like zinc and vitamin A – keeping your scalp healthy and your hair strong. This oil targets dry follicles to keep your hair moisturized and nourished, in fact it can even increase the flow of blood to the scalp which can enhance your hair growth.
This ace card keeps your hair happy and healthy – maybe even with a thicker mane.
Clary Sage
Clary Sage supplies your hair and scalp with unique nutrients that are hard to come by, as well as relieving stress through the natural scent – keeping you looking and feeling good.
On top of this benefit, clary sage helps to detangle your hair – thick curls or fine strands, preventing hair loss through damage brushing and styling while strengthening your hair from the root down to the ends.
Argan Oil
Argan oil is a household name by now, and rightly so – its high dose of fatty acids help strengthen brittle hair and improve the protein structure within the follicle without adding any additional oily feel to your hair.
Its high concentration of vitamin E rejuvenates the hair, protects the follicle beds and improves the overall shine and appearance while minimizing split ends. It’s a win/win.
Rosemary Oil
Rosemary oil helps to build tolerance within the hair and protects it from weakness and erosion caused by weather and stress, while encouraging hair growth from the scalp.
Moisturizing the hair while encouraging it to grow stronger after each application, rosemary also keeps hair clean by doing away with residue left over by other hair products.
